ERC opens new health centre in Hadramaut




HADRAMAUT: The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) on Saturday opened a new health centre in Hella District in Mukalla Governorate, Hadramout Governorate, Yemen.

The health centre, part of a series of development projects being implemented by the ERC in the governorate, was re-opened to improve the humanitarian conditions of the people, meet their medical care needs and secure a dignified life for them.

The opening of the health centre following its renovation falls within the framework of the ERC’s efforts to support the health sector in Hadramaut Governorate and provide the best health services to the population which lives in areas more than 15 kilometres away from the directorate.

The director of the Hella Health Centre, Sulaiman Saeed Bahamran, hailed the role played by the ERC, especially the re-opening of the health centre after completing the first phase of renovation and provision of accommodation as well as medical equipment.

He also confirmed that the centre has already begun receiving patients and those who are in need of medical care, adding that it will receive about 600 patients every month.

The people of the area extended thanks and appreciation to the UAE in general and the ERC in particular for opening the centre and providing medical equipment.
